Takeaways (What do you want the reader to learn and remember?)

Thinking again about the impact you want to have is very helpful to define your takeaways. Put yourself in the shoes of the reader to better define what kind of things might be interesting. This is a short brainstorming session where you generate multiple takeaways.

Example takeaways:

• Know how to apply W
• Learn how to do X
• Be able to identify Y
• Understand the concept of Z

Sections (How can you group your takeaways together?)

Add introduction and conclusion after you have defined your takeaways and sections.

Queries (Is there any additional research you need to perform?)

For each takeaway, it is very likely that you're still going to have questions.

Additional research questions:

• Is there any research to back that claim?
• Are there any people disagreeing with this argument?
• Is this just my opinion or is there evidence behind it?
• Who are the experts on this topic?
• Any authors I should link to for more information?

Outcome: turn your idea into an outline by listing takeaways, grouping them into sections, and identifying remaining research questions.
